How to learn buddhism – Nirvana is always there

From Pure Name Buddha

The Pure Name Buddha book is amazing for me.

Every time I’m not clear about life I open any part and right away it’s so amazing.

There is this one story here from Buddha.

How to truly learn Buddhism

In the story the villagers offered a gift to the Buddhist temple – it was a beautiful gold statue of a water buffalo. Some children were playing in the temple and knocked it over and the statue broke so it only had one eye left.

Buddha asked the students a question.

Did the buffalo lose an eye?

The first group of monks said to Buddha that the buffalo had lost its eyes, but it’s okay because it is only gold.

The second group of monks said, the buffalo is illusion so there is no buffalo.

The third group said, the buffalo illusion is temporary causation and can change to anything, and we actually can have power to change that illusion the same way we can change gold into a statue.

This third view is the Bodhisattva view.

The first view is the human view. We humans take everything completely serious, what we see is what it is, we can’t see through the illusion at all and can’t see the buffalo is not even a buffalo.

The second view, says the buffalo is illusion but didn’t understand that gold is already there, the same way true consciousness already there. What is the function of that true gold? Gold can bring art, bring beauty and bring malleable material to be able to change to whatever people want to create with their art power. Gold itself has no limitation, no ego, does not have to be this way or that way. Gold Itself remains pure.

That is Dharma.

So buffalo is not real but real gold there.

Bodhisattva knows the buffalo is fake, but knows gold has true function and we should actually learn what the is the true function of gold.

To really learn Buddhism has to be the third one.

Illusion is always connected to true consciousness, so where there is illusion, that is where already there is true consciousness.

Where there is the temporary, is where there is eternal.

Eternal means not changing, but the power to be aware of this changing is not part of this changing. So that power is eternity.

And changing is always temporary so where is the illusion is where there is already reality.

And where there is blindness and suffering, is where there is wisdom. If you observe them, then you realise we blindly created them, they don’t even need to exist. So if you don’t create them then they don’t exist. Wisdom right away there.

Like the story of the man who sees his face in the reflection of a mirror for the first time and when they take the mirror away he thinks he has lost his head and starts to scream! We create our own type of this creation suffering and then we take it serious and want to clean that suffering and this is not Bodhisattva system.

Bodhisattva system is directly realise if I don’t create “think I’ve lost my head” illusion then I don’t have to search for the answer to such an illusion. Follow blindness with blindness is a dramatic ,theatre for nothing.

Bodhisattva directly awakens to be aware there is no such thing as birth and death, because they realise where there is birth and death, Nirvana is already there.

The power to aware of birth and death is not temporary.

Nirvana is not like you can try to reach it and get it.

Nirvana is always there. It is just because you are not aware of it so it’s not there.

Like the sun is always in the sky, but sometimes clouds cover it so the sun disappears. But the sun is still behind those clouds.

Nirvana is always there, if you are aware of it, it’s there, if you are not aware of it, it’s still there.

Life is perfect, if you are aware of it, it’s there, if you are not aware of it, it’s still there.

Eternity is always there.

Kindness is always there.

Just because you follow creation of blind ego, doesn’t mean your kindness heart will not be there.

It is the same like the sun, kindness heart is eternal, that is why you can always want to look for people to give you kindness. Then you understand that feeling you will understand how to be that feeling show kindness to others. The reason you are able to feel that is because it is always there.

So Four Eternal Heart is always in you.

You can never reach Nirvana because Nirvana is always there.

We don’t have to clean birth and death, nothing to clean out. In birth and death right away we can see Nirvana. In temporary we can see eternity. In this greedy ego world we can right away see wisdom to not get polluted.

From all this wisdom there is nothing you can get because true wisdom is not to get something, true wisdom is being that wisdom.

So Bodhisattva heart remains aware completely correctly and doesn’t have to reach somewhere to aware complete angles.

In any angle they are aware of the complete angles of life.

In Pure Land they are aware the same, in Hell they are aware the same. In Earth, forbearing karma, the same.

And they are aware all three are illusion.

Behind the illusion kindness is always eternity. Already aware these are created by our heart and then they are aware everybody has the power to create either one equally so heart is equal towards every life – equal heart.

So Bodhisattva can be aware of complete angles from every angle.

Why is Pure Name Buddha’s respectful title – “Unspeakable, unthinkable”

Unspeakable because when he talked, there was nothing any student or Bodhisattva can add. His wisdom so sharp, any mistake he can explain and help everyone learn from, so students are naturally more quiet and humble and careful to observe. He doesn’t appear as a Buddha or Bodhisattva but his questions to Siddhartha Buddha made all the students so impressed wow he is sharp like Buddha. Because he was already Buddha.
