Appearing in All the Space Bodhisattva Meditation

This bodhisattva, Samantabhadra taught a meditation technique for when you see a statue or picture of Buddha, as long as it is a good one, not one looking fat or stupid: shoulders relaxed at a 45 degree down angle, belly in, chest strong and proud, no ego, eyes nearly closed yet observing everyone, gently smiling like a happy baby and a wise man at the same time, hands with no tension. Put your tongue between your teeth, teeth closed but without power, let your energy become very sensitive, your nerves calm, your eyes totally relaxed – not searching or looking for anything any more. Focus your concentration to remember the beautiful, perfect, holy, spiritual Buddha image.

When that image appears in your mind, imagine another you in front of the Buddha image and see yourself bow to that Buddha. After many years of practising, all the Buddha statues will suddenly appear, and you will see many copies of you bowing to them at the same time. The more you practice, the stronger this power will get. Eventually, you will forget your body; your life, your energy will suddenly explode and open and you will see so much light.

In this book it says that if someone bows or sincerely teaches this philosophy, then this bodhisattva will appear in front of you, or if your consciousness is not pure enough then he will touch your head to help you.

One time when I was practising this meditation, I imagined many of the statues in the dojo and other nice ones I have seen. Then a reclining Buddha appeared on an elephant with six long tusks, covered in jewellery and shimmering with light. He sat on a lotus that was like a step on top of the elephant. He had one leg down. Then I saw his face. That was the first time I had ever taught that philosophy, and to see him right away was amazing. It was seeing, as clear as you see me now, but more clear because of the lights. You can’t imagine how it looked, built by light and pure energy, sometimes perfect material with lights around, sometimes just energy. If you’ve seen a statue you like, such as Amitabha at the dojo, now you can try the meditation one leg style half-lotus.

Call “Holy Spiritual,10 Amazing Wills, Incredible Appearing in All Space Bodhisattva, please help me to bow to all the Buddhas”. Don’t get stressed trying to create the image, try to imagine with joy. If you don’t make it when you are centred and relaxed, use Chi Gong power – centre straight, neck straight, deep concentration – and you may have a chance to experience.
