Training Guān Xiǎng 观想 Ability

Guān Xiang (观想)

Guan = Observing

Xiang = Thinking

Original principle is towards MEDITATION ABILITY.


Sifu Explanation

  • Many times I see joyful lotus in the joint I can already see the energy run inside my body
  • When I see a flower blooming it is so light and delicate feeling and I love that kind of feeling
  • Through look at flower can aware and imagine feeling into my body
  • I have good sense of our body Taiji to do this.
  • Also wisdom 4 areas:
    • Muscle – – functional muscle development,
    • Tendon – feel tendon stretching and open -Yi Jin Jing about that so not just motion
    • Duan Gu – Awareness feel bone – sometimes feel spine and neck stacked
    • Energy –
    • So I can join and mix them so my awareness can go higher. But awaken mean aware more.
    • Imagination and thinking is brain power (6 consciousness) switches off subconsciousness
  •  So not imagining I can really feel whole joint area, muscle joint ligament, energy through there.
  • Eventually subconscious train directly to intuition sense and feel it.

How to Read Philosophy Like Sifu

  • Have to clean out normal human moody ego doubt, or whatever nonsense feeling – whatever not neutral. Whatever heavy.
  • Read philosophy or sing mantra.
  • How to do this? Not just read and inside say to yourself yeah I know the words of Heart Sutra or I can sing it well. Or immediately judge I like this ornot
  • take so slow
  • Feel intention of the consciousness who wrote it
  • Why they wrote it, how they wrote it, why this word here, this idea first and last
  • Philosophy power is fewest words possible, cover system, melody and meaning of life
  • Feel the idea what kind of consciousness they are
  • What kind of ability they have developed
  • What have they become aware of?
  • What stage of being are they?
  • Why life have to be that way?
  • Then feeling becomes real, awakening awareness in the present
  • Laugh – touch the heart
  • Awaken start with Ahhhhh! 🙂

  • United force of discipline of senses into no-I
  • Now sense become pure and open

Guan Xiang and 3 Energy Training

  • In Tai Chi, laser-line means straight spine.
  • But there are 2 other lines on either side of the spine.
  • In order to open 7 chakra, we need these 3 open.
  • Guan Xiang needs reality to practice
  • Because Real karma is action
  • Otherwise it is like a seed not put in the dirt yet – only potential.
  • Subconscious is like ART, intuition

Exercise – Practice observing your feeling and turn it into words

  • One type of wisdom development to practice in Buddhist philosophy class
  • Help you develop intelligence
  • Practice describe your feelings, where it comes from
  • Eventually
  • As quick as possible to turn feeling into description is where Guan Xiang feeling came from
  • Make feeling become language, make language become feeling
  • So when read Buddhism philosophy that will help you.

  • Seeing a video, where a Buddha, made of stars, appeared behind the Alps, gave me a feeling of:
    • Amazing and impressed – to see that force in action
    • Wonder – because of the surprising non-human feeling, made me feel there is more to life.
    • Inspiring – Because that power exists then I can develop  it which made me feel inspired to keep training.
    • Humble – compare my ability to that being so my self-importance reduces in a good way.
    • Touched – the phrasing of the philosophy words
