Sifu’s Discussion on Different Spaces Seen in Meditation

  • BuddhismJing Tu = Pure Land
  • Daoism – Describes different gods: regular gods / shen / possibly shien?

Human-level gods:

Egyptian, Roman, Viking, Greek, Indian, etc.

  • These gods have human-style realms—powerful, well-built, full of material value, energy, and technology.
  • Always about power, glory, and fantastic appearances.
  • Impressive, but not much joy—don’t feel like you want to stay.

Beyond that (possibly “shien”?):

  • Daoist Realms – United with nature
    • Paradise is not built from technology, but from the Four Elements.
    • A universe of energetic gods’ zones.
    • Joy comes freely from harmony with nature.

Buddhist Realms – Pure, golden energy

  • A pure, empty, light, and free feeling.
  • The heart becomes sincere and pure through development.
  • Countless lifetimes trying to understand life.
  • Without Dharma, life becomes a trap: birth, suffering, death—never knowing why.
  • Amitabha Buddha created a system to help us escape that cycle.

Amitabha Buddha’s Hua Sheng – Pure Land System

  • The Pure Land must be 100% pure.
  • Everyone there has Bodhisattva awareness, though not yet full Bodhisattva ability.
  • That ability can be developed after arrival—that’s the foundation.
  • Everything is illusion, created from our heart.
  • Our heart is not strong—so together we create a shared heart of reincarnation, suffering, and karma.
  • When we develop Dharma, an eternal force awakens.
  • A strong heart means reincarnation can no longer control us—this is the Bodhisattva path.
  • Consciousness is the potential awareness of life.
    • Every life has the potential to become a Buddha.
    • Buddhahood = Buddha Heart
    • This potential can be developed to a high level.

Bodhisattvas

Bodhisattvas learn many Dharmas:

  • Martial arts
  • Healing
  • Talents, arts
  • Logical power
  • Language power
  • Awareness of other life force powers

They become skilled in all of them and keep adding new abilities lifetime after lifetime.
Eventually, one reaches Bodhisattva Level 1 (out of 10).
After graduating all 10 levels: become a Buddha.

How to Develop One Heart, One Intention

  • Motivation and passion are not enough—trying hard is not the best way to reach joy.
  • Joy never comes from tension.
  • Discipline becomes joy once you become aware of it.
  • Slowly clean out all blindness through discipline—see through the illusion.

Two Ways:

  1. Discipline with awareness:
    • Life is an illusion.
    • Discipline leads to slow but real awakening.
  2. Talking to your heart (Concentration Style):
    • Ask your soul:
      • Who am I?
      • What is life about?
      • Am I lost?
    • Be aware of Dharma at the same time.

Internal Work:

  • Could be blind doubt or suffering.
  • Ask: Am I in it? Or causing it?
  • Bowing practice:
    • Regret becomes a chip for the future.
    • Regret should make you strong, not weak.
    • Make wise choices.
    • Recreate your behavior—bow to Buddhas for help.
    • Train humility.

Being good at something doesn’t mean you’ve mastered everything. There’s always more to train.

External Work:

  • Training
  • Conditioning
  • Standards
  • Recognize: the main cause is always your own choices.

How Bodhisattvas Train Spiritually

  • Open heart
  • Understand Truth
  • Kindness and compassion
  • Pure heart
  • Develop unlimited artistic wisdom

Let go of ego—it’s like a stinky diaper from a million lifetimes.
Laugh, throw it away—right away!
Throw it away with light, smile, and joy!
