1. Observe the self through Dharma – Become aware that the “causation ‘I’” and “all other life forms” are illusions, not our true Dharma Self. The true heart has no beginning and no end, is always pure, and exists beyond form, space, and time.

2. Recognize the incredible nature of Amitabha’s Pure Land system – Realize how fortunate we are to learn it. Open your heart to appreciate his kindness, his 48 vows, and sincerely bow and ask him to guide you to become his student.

At that moment, you are his student.

You have shifted from the false causation character to the Dharma character—Amitabha’s Pure Land student.
