🚫 The 5 Blind Habits: Our Obstacles to Understanding Dharma 🌺

🐍 Greed: The Impurity Trap

Greed captivates our hearts and minds. Our greed makes our hearts so impure that we can no longer observe anything. We are not free to observe ourselves, let alone the complex system of life (Dharma.)

🔥 Anger: The Fire That Burns Wisdom

Lost in the whirlpool of anger, our mental state becomes too agitated to be sensitive to life. Like stirring up water, it takes time to settle and clear. To observe life, we can return to calmness and concentration, away from anger.

🐌 Laziness: The Foe of Focus

Being lazy zaps us of the energy, patience, and discipline needed to concentrate on Dharma. Without these qualities, we stop our own ability to shine through. This further reduces our capacity to understand life’s tricks.

🌧️ Moodiness: The Barrier to Discipline

When we’re moody, maintaining discipline becomes a huge task. The ups and downs of life become even higher up and even further down! Then, we are not observing outside, and we focus inside. We are like an ostrich that sticks its head in the ground. This stops us from reaching our natural ability to meditate. In this zone, we will struggle to find the inner peace and pure heart necessary to observe Dharma.

👁️ Blind Doubt: The Illusory Power

Doubt about Dharma or Buddhist philosophy creates a mental fog. Our ego celebrates the ability to question. Yet, this ‘power is counterproductive to the development of wisdom. We stay satisfied with our doubt and forget to keep observing life. This is a recipe for ignorance.

🛑 In Conclusion

Breaking through these habits will help us learn life deeper and faster. When we are brave enough to challenge these, we will unlock immense inner force. Unlocking the door to deeper wisdom and freedom.
