6 Bodhisattva Characters – Another View

Enjoyed observing self being with these notes from many years ago. Observing my own blind suffering creations became joyful. Heart also felt joy to purify, strengthen and develop 6 Boddhisattva Characters. ☺🙏💚

4 Noble Truths
(human level):
1. Life HAS suffering
2. We RECEIVE suffering by CREATING it from our blindness and then HOLDING on to it. We each create our own suffering, others do not create our suffering. We need to observe our suffering in order to identify how we are creating it.
3. We need to DESTROY the CAUSE of the suffering in order to release the suffering
4. Once our suffering is released, we will reach nirvana; a state of happiness, contentment and peace

What is suffering?
Suffering is our blind intentions – greed, hate and stupidity

6 Bodhisattva characters

1. Generosity: You need to be able to give and share. For a person teaching the dao way, they would be inclined to want to teach generous people as these people will then want to share the wisdom too.

2. Discipline: You can be a giving person but without your own discipline to take action to learn more, then you will not become any wiser.

3. Patience: You can be disciplined but it may only be for a short period of time. You need patience to achieve ongoing discipline.

4. Concentration: You need to focus, make notes, analyse. You may be disciplined and have patience, but if you are not truly focused and side-tracked on other things then you will not reach the goal.

5. Meditation: Once you have achieved the previous 4 steps, you will be able to meditate. The point of meditation is to see and feel beyond what humans are limited to see, hear and touch. We hear and see through sound waves but generally we are limited to only 5% of what the brain can pick up. Dharma Joy is when you see the truth of life through meditation.

6. Wisdom: Once you have achieved the previous 5 steps, you will develop wisdom ability and truly understand Dao and the Truth of Life.

Without wisdom, you cannot be compassionate.
