Uncovering the Masters secret: Tai Chi

1. Kicking with thongs-spring point is a spring of energy

– shape Sifu makes with his foot is because he rolls his foot around. Right foot clockwise back to the heel rotation, anti-clockwise twist up onto spring point.
– (DK) For example I roll my left ankle collapsed in, so when I build it outways I can shift from foot to foot making kung fu footwork.
– This can be used to cloud foot step. Roll the foot not straight line

2. Standing on a Tai Chi sign, feet in both circles. Image the little circles have another tai Chi sign in them

When the feet rotation in this way the legs rotation this way as well. No straight movements – that creates stiff, unnatural movements.

Instead rotation one way until nearly tense, and then relax as gravity rotates back the other way recharging the energy and releasing it

3. Dan Tien: 3D Tai Chi Sign

This rolling energy can flow up and around like a glass ball in water, rolling whereever the flow takes it.
First charge it up your centre to your head and expand it out the sides of your chest, evenly forwards, sides and backwards, making you broader, relax your arms down.
Hips curved under to keep footwork connected

4. Arms in Tai Chi sign as well

DNA helix twists up, rotates the other way back down.
Now energy from the ground can sent like a whip to your hands
Power must be from underneath supporting it hips otherwise the hit will be weak
When the power has rotated just before stiff, relax and let it twist back the other way.

5. Gravity is abstract, should be like water down a sink and steam up

In every movement, every part of the body remains light and agile;
