Wisdom is an ability – that is why it can be developed.

For each life it will be different because everyone is at a different level.

But if you have the power to observe your life, that is a good place to start.

Even start with observing one simple word.

Because however deep and detailed you can define that one simple word, shows what level of understanding you have about that one word. If you can see from more angles, more detailed view, connected to many subjects, then you are proving you have that ability in the present. It is your wisdom ability and no one else’s.

So start with one word….even with the word ‘One.’

Here is my Sifu’s explanation, which comes from Buddhism and Daoist philosophies, about the word ‘One.’

Definition of ‘One’

One is the sound one.

One is never one. One is two. As soon as you say one there has to be one to observe that one.

One is always zero. Because you can break one, everything can be broken down therefore there is never something that exists as one.

One is the number one. Human beings created that number to help them calculate.

One is many, because there are many ones. If not why do you say everyone? Because everyone count as many ones. But many are still just one; many ones together still create just one, united that look like one. If you look at Tim over there he is one, but many cells create that one.

Am I one or not one? To think about it is thinking ability one. Thinking ability one is not the feeling one. Sometimes you can explain but not feel and sometimes feel but not explain. Sometimes neither. Sometimes both. Then that is called United one.

 United one is different to not-united one. All your energy from your chakras: desire, passion, physical activity, feeling as emotion, thinking as logic, directly know as intuition, hidden consciousness open up as complete awakened consciousness – they are the different energy one. But together as a relationship they are united energy one.

Developing one. Like a caterpillar creates a cocoon, then becomes a butterfly. Are they all still just one? Yes. It’s called developing one.

Is each step above also one? Yes. But as the development keeps going it becomes a system of development one. You are living in this kind of system of development one. From baby to old man to leave your body, is one. Called a reincarnation one. Next lifetime and next lifetime. Born again into new life one. This whole system is built by cause and effect.

So are they all one?

If they are not one, which is not possible, because then that one cause would never become that one effect. Like an apple seed become apple tree is one. Cannot say they are not one.

If they are one, then why do we have separate words: apple seed and apple tree?

And why does that cause come first and then become that result? So they are called as one, not are one.

Called as one because they can’t be separated, and as not one because they have order they cannot appear at same time. That’s why they are both ‘as one’ and ‘as not one.’

One is two, but truly two is one. What are the two? Truly they are two different ones.

One is free. Because it is free to be individual one. One is not free, because it is limited as one. 

You can’t find one because the one searching for one, is one. So one already there, doesn’t need to be found.

One still can find one; the searching one can find another searching one.

Do you understand all the different ideas of one? No? Ok then that is called blind one.

But blind one, one day can become wise one. That is called potential wise one.

So what is one?

One can be everything, because everything is so many one together as everything.

But what is everything? It still is just one. That means all the individual ones together as united one as everything, if they can be together, it is still one. It is called group one.

Wise one knows that one is illusion. Because we already know one can be everything so which one is real and which one is not a real one? They can all be real in their own individual case. They are not real from the view of relative one. Other people’s hunger is not your hunger, so it’s not real for you.

Wise one knows that whatever the idea of one is, it is an illusion. What is illusion one? It means something that appears created by others, which has no self. Because it has no self, so it is empty. So one is illusion and illusion is empty.

And wise one include himself or herself, or consciousness itself, aware ourself is illusion. Because our identity-self and experience-self are all from others.

So if wise one already know themselves are illusion, then whatever they are aware of doesn’t matter, that is also illusion. So all the ideas are illusion, and all your awareness comes from those ideas, which makes your awareness itself illusion.

So if yourself is illusion, then whatever you are aware of is illusion too.

But wise one know that even though awareness is illusion, it still has the power to be aware of that illusion. And that power is one awareness ability.

This awareness ability is not limited to be aware of one thing, so it is one unlimited awareness ability. All the one unlimited awareness ability is constantly changing so it is one constantly changing unlimited awareness ability. But the essence to create that constantly changing unlimited awareness ability is the same one, so no change.

Like a caterpillar / cocoon / butterfly – the essence of the awareness ability is the same, but the function of the awareness ability is constantly changing.

Summary

Wise one know all of this is just an idea, reality is not this idea.

It is directly what you are aware of, which is your awareness boundary, which we can call your experience.

And the awareness ability are not those experiences. But able to create and receive those experiences.

Both are illusion.

One is constantly changing from others without individual essence as illusion.

The other, always exists but never changes but has no form, so cannot be found as illusion.

So whatever we are aware of is one big illusion game – because the awareness power and what it is aware of both are illusion. So it’s a big game of illusion multiplied by illusions.

Wise man will know in this big illusion game has a great function. Which is to help you be free from this big illusion game.

The wise consciousness one, out of searching, judgemental and possessive illusion because there is no need to search, judge and possessive towards illusion. It become free consciousness one. 

And then help others to be free, become wise compassion one.

That is the idea of wise man being wise.

How he understand and see one, how he get rid of one, how he not limited by one, how he is aware one is limited but also free, how he see all the potential in everyone, and how he is able to get out of thinking one, no more trapped in the game of idea one, one is just a trick, one is a trick to learn to be free, so it is a test, it is a learning system, it is number, it is just a brain game, it is just a wisdom ability, it is just an awareness ability, just an awareness from our creation, it is just a subject to be aware of, many unlimited subject continually to be aware of, something separate as one and united as one, wise man understand all these angles about one.

And because he is aware of all these angles about one, he get rid of ego one. Without ego there is no judgemental, he will not think himself is wise or not wise.

True wise man not thinking he is wise or not wise, becomes empty wise one.
